I've started new web page for running in Bulgaria called www.runbg.net
Why?
Well because I was passionate about sports for whole my life and because I wanted to promote running in Bulgaria. Of course running is the second most popular sport after football among men, but I wanted to drive the youth to be more active and responsible for themselves and their bodies. And i wanted to so, I've started www.runbg.com
What's going to be in there?
Well there will be general information about running, running shoes, clothing, and all that's needed to practice running. There will be a forum for all the runners to share their experiences and tips. There will be a section achievements that will host stories about runners - role models and their goals, ambitions, etc.
Who can read it?
Well everyone is welcome since he knows Bulgarian. Yes I made it in Bulgarian because I wanted to impact on Bulgarian people and to involve them in sport activities. What is more simple and easier to do as a sport from running?

Greece Advenure, 2weeks and 2days after arriving!

Athens

March 03.01.2010! My first day in Athens. The bus dropped me at Karaiskaki SQ and the journey began. Few minutes the ppl from AIESEC appeared and was feeling a bit relaxed and tired from the "awesome" trip 16hours. They showed me my flat and I was happy to see that everything I need is on place. Few minutes later I was exploring Athens and Greek Souvlaki + Dzadziki (Don't be shocked by the names the 1st one is typical Duner and the second is some kind of our tarator soup or for the advanced travelers - kind of Polish Mizeria ). You can see me on the picture with my first dzadziky and french fries, interesting combination. One of the 1st things that shocked me was the fact that there are so many places for fast food and there are no so many places to eat normal cooked food :(. The food is not very healthy but the rest is perfect :) There are so much places to visit in Athens that you will need several weeks to explore but so far i have been to Acropolis, Zeus Temple, Olympia (the Panatinaiko stadium - oldest one), place called Anafiotika, Plaka, National Garden, The Parlament, the main squares Monastiraki and Syndagma, Lucabettus Hill. There are a lot more places to go but i'll update my blog with the places I have been and info for them from wikipedia!

Weather

It will not be a surprise that the weather here in Greece is good even in the winter. I'm lucky to have the hottest summer in my life and the hottest in Athens since 1920th. Several times it was around 22-23 degrees, but now it's getting colder and it's around 10-15 but having in mind that in Poland it was around -20 here is like paradise. End of 1st part

Running

One of my passions is reality now - living near big park and running there! I'm trying to run every day and I have new gear (Nike Lunarglide+ and Nike+ sportband). What I found here is that a lot of people are running too and I happy to know that in my park is training the best running club in Greece :). These guys are really great and the good thing is that you can always run with somebody even if you don't know him. Just keep the same pace and smile :) The cool thing is that I have 3 types of surface for running (track, trail and road) and I can tell that on the track with the new Lunarglide+ you just fly over it. :). I'm just happy I got the perfect weather and place to do my running.

Ran 150km for 40 workouts and lost 15 additional kilos! There are 72km to reach my 1st Runners studio goal by reaching Liverpool, starting from Dublin!

102km left to the 1st big city from the road :) I got small injury to overcome but it's already getting better. I hope to cover some more km to Liverpool before Christmas Eve and the weather is still awesome for this part of the year. Yesterday it was 17 degrees at least on shadow.
Some other things with me are getting better so I'm expecting some action to come very soon!

Yep, finally got time to update the progress - and the result is 109km left to Liverpool. Just passed the middle of the way by running 115km with average speed 10km/h. Getting better and better, just hope the weather will allow me to continue some more time before the snow falls.

Weekly progress and something more

As I promised in my previous post I will keep you updated about my weekly progress on the run to Kiev. Currently the progress from last week is 14km closer to Liverpool (134km left). The total distance ran so far is 89,76km which means that soon i'll be in the middle of the road to Liverpool. Unfortunately that week there were only 4 days available for running because of the rain that is still falling today, but i'll manage the situation with home workout.

Something more??? Yes I told you i'll writhe about the "something more" thing :). For a very long time I was thinking of some ideas that I want to implement in my life, but that week that's already in it's end, I had talks with old friends and I was inspired and motivated to put my ideas and thoughts in some direction. I feel my brain as a waterfall dropping idea after idea right now ,connecting the dots that were appearing in the past and forming a vision for further development. Now starting step by step the plans are getting reality. I feel also some change inside me after evaluating the past experiences and I feel enormous energy and motivation.

Running from Dublin to Kiev

Yes, it's true it's not a mistake. Finally I have my 1st running log and it's helping me track my workouts. It's giving me the options to set different type of goal and I choose the challenge of running from Dublin, Ireland to Kiev, Ukraine. The total distance is 2777,73km and now I'm running on the way to Liverpool and there are 148 km to reach the 1st city on the road to Kiev. I'll keep you updated about the progress every week. I'm so exited and ready to add some more kilometers to my running log. If someone is interested the software I'm using is Runner's Studio, If you are keen fan of running you can check it out and you'll impressed by it's functionality.

This summer I decided I'll do something pleasant for my body and health. I decided to go back to active sport again. I decided to go back to running as the easiest way to practice it. It was easy a pair of shoes and you go on the road, of course it was not easy in the beginning after stopping active sport in the winter of 2007th. Then it became easier I started loosing weight I bought professional gear in order everything to be safe and to prevent injuries. I totally changed my way of eating and living.
Few months later I lost 8kg running became purpose not only for loosing weight but for feeling refreshed, mentally free and now I'm even more motivated than I was in the beginning.I decided to run a marathon next spring. My passion and knowledge that I gained pushed me to create a group in Facebook dedicated to the people in Bulgaria that are running. I had second reason - the youth and the society in Bulgaria has the big problem of not having active life and the problems with overweight. I tried to add some facts about the benefits of running and how to do it properly and safe. For now I have 55 people joined and I'm happy that some of them are not friends of mine but friends of the idea of running :) I hope that the group will be growing and I'll be updating it with more useful info that I'm gaining from a different sources but the main is the www.runnersworld.com.

Whatching old movies...

Better later than never it sounds so truism :P Yes it's true! It's one of the times that you are looking into the future and you feel unsafe and you need another challenge to prove that you are capable and you are still in the game :). In this very moment I found a little piece of time to practice one old hobby - watching old movies. In the times we are living it seems that new cinema is not so often going to humans emotions and values but more to the impressive, polished and sometimes senseless effects. That's why from time to time I'm looking for something valuable from the previous years that for sure i will enjoy even after spending some time looking for it. That's how i came to "The Shawshank Redemption", I remember a friend of mine that recommended it to me some years ago and i was postponing watching it. May be it was good that I discovered it now in this moment of hanging and making the 1st steps to the stage of my life. I'm 24 years now willing to explore the world and to develop by interacting with different kind of people from different cultures and the most important finding the value that I can bring not only to me but to the world around me. That value was always driving me till now cause i always care about the people i value and i meet in my life. In this 2h 14 min watching the movie I realized again how important is the fate that you need to have cause fate in something alway works and helps in the hard moments that seems so long. I will memorize one thought from the movie "Get busy living or get busy dying!". It's so simple and clear and brings so much sence doesn't matter if you say it now 4000 years ago or in the future. So let's get busy living :P ...

Step Forward

Yes .... my time has come! Moving through the stages of AIESEC XP I arrived on the next one. "The way of becoming a number" :P.Till now i was the one encouraging the others to try this stage and now finally it's my term. I have my ID number for a week and somethig and already available on the market :P It's the same as going in the shops and finfing something apropriate for you, which reminds me on the "Jeans Theory" (You need to try a lot of jeans untill you find the one that fits you best). CEE, WENA, AP, MINA, Africa, Iberoamerica these are all the destination and i'm still curious were I'll find my "Jeans". CEE, WENA and AP are in the list for now, I'm happy that i discovered my passion about Asia that i had in my 2nd year in university and BRIKs were so unknow and interesting destinations for me.

He was born September 18, 1971 and in 2009 he will participate again in Tour de France.

Honestly 1 month ago i didn't have any clue about what exactly Lance Armstrong overcome during his life till now. How I learned - It's looong story :P. Yes it's probably story 23454 that I'm telling as my friends are kidding but it's somehow sentimental for me. In 2006th I joined AIESEC and i went for big conference in Svishtov where i was actually studying and 3 years later on 2009th i was again there but this time for my last big conference in AIESEC. I was feeling great and beeg responsible for the memebers on the Leadership track i wanted to inspire and pass my enthusiasum to the people that will drive AIESEC in the next years. I was doing it by useing the best tools i have - my own experience and mistakes suported by examples from great leaders and personalities. As always there was some challeges with preparation but finnaly it went well. I was happy because of inviting a old friend of AIESEC. That individual was motivating me for all the 3 year i've been in the organisationg and now for the last year i had the channce to work with him on several events. That time he was about to speak about "Leadership and Motivation" and this time i didn't know what to expect. I knew that the training will be based on the 7 Habits from Steven Covey and i said to my self "OK, it will be nice for sure". The inspirational guy as my friends from Romania were joking, told us 8 stories. One to warm up of cource and 7 about the habits but for each habbit he was telling a different story, from a different people but connected with the habbit. May be you are still asking - what's the connection with the intro till now :P The answear of that question is not 100 pages :P but the story of the man of the picture. During the presentation of Margaret Thatcher, Richard Branson and the others i was changing the mood several times i was haveing fun, thinking about the meaningn of life and my mission on the plannet, i was ammazed by the achievements of the people from the stories. When Lance's story began started i was confused that i don't know anything about him exept the career and the cancer. I realized that i'm on the surface but after i heard the way he overcome the cancer about the way he is still alive and competing even been on that age and about the great will for living i started crying. I'm so impresed from Lance that i recomend everybody to read a little bit more about him, to learn more about the Live strong campaign and to learn that if you want to be happy and to do the things you like and to be the person you want to be in future you NEED to put efforts! :)
The story
At age 25, Lance Armstrong was one of the world's best cyclists. He proved it by winning the World Championships, the Tour Du Pont and multiple Tour de France stages. Lance Armstrong seemed invincible and his future was bright.

Then they told him he had cancer.

Next to the challenge he now faced, bike racing seemed insignificant. The diagnosis was testicular cancer, the most common cancer in men aged 15-35. If detected early, its cure rate is a promising 90 percent. Like most young, healthy men, Lance ignored the warning signs, and he never imagined the seriousness of his condition. Going untreated, the cancer had spread to Lance's abdomen, lungs and brain. His chances dimmed.

Then a combination of physical conditioning, a strong support system and competitive spirit took over. He declared himself not a cancer victim but a cancer survivor. He took an active role in educating himself about his disease and the treatment. Armed with knowledge and confidence in medicine, he underwent aggressive treatment and beat the disease.

During his treatment, before his recovery, before he even knew his own fate, he created the Lance Armstrong Foundation. This marked the beginning of Lance's life as an advocate for people living with cancer and a world representative for the cancer community.

Lance Armstrong's victories in the 1999-2005 Tours de France are awe-inspiring, but the battle against cancer has just begun-not just for him, but for all cancer survivors and people just like him who think cancer could not affect them. He plans to lead this fight, and he hopes that you join him. This is a life he owes to cancer. This is his choice to live strong.

One year story

A lot of time passed from the last time i was sharing with you and of course it doesn't mean that it was boring:) It was a great year with a lot of challenges, learning, fun and my favorite - Diversity!
It's hard to present it with few sentences but I'll try to transmit it somehow :).
1st fact I'm really happy with is that i met a lot of new people - some of them are really incredible. I had the chance to be inspired and to inspire them. I was in situations asking and learning and also doing this for the others. I found out that i like working with people and doing presentations and trainings for them - i discovered my coaching passion and I'm happy with the 1st results form it.

One Thursday I was in front of my laptop and I was wondering what to do!? I remembered that friend of mine gave me book called "Who moved my cheese?". I started reading it and i was just amazed how such a small book can give you the essential point for the hard question how and why to change yourself. This is the second book I read by Dr. Spencer Johnson, the first was "One minute manager". Both books are great and I can completely agree with the reviewers that Dr. Spencer Johnson is the best business author.
This is the book you must read if you want to be flexible and successful......

Free Run

It was normal dynamic working day in Pleven. I just finished work at 18:00 and i was wallking in down town when i saw something i like a lot - sport event. It was free run - this is new sport as a whole but is very popular and attractive. When i was 14 i was jumping and climbing like them :)
See what i saw with my camera. I met there not 1 girl, really cool one we had great time together ;) Enough information. The rest of the story you can find for 178.98$ .................. i'm just kidding :)

SFEM Wow I wasn't expecting that kind of meeting. We have done great job and i can't miss the brilliant simulation from Eagle's Flight called "The King of desert Kings". I learned a lot from that game and I'm trying to implement everything in my job as marketing&salesman. The training about selling was perfect, what can i say more we had tips from Ivo Kunev and J. Cvetanov. They are really experienced sellers and trainers and they gave us tips and great simulation for direct selling. I took part in that simulation i wasn't good but I learned a lot and i drow a lesson from them. :) It was just amazing experience.

Every man on the planet Earth have dreams and idols. If i could choose to look like someone I would like this man to be Richard Branson. He is not just a billionear he is happy, dynamic and successful leader. I'm just amazed how communicative and great businessman he is. I observe the development of that leader many years ago and i can say that i want to be like him.
Richard Branson is a flamboyant British entrepreneur with a seemingly insatiable appetite for starting new businesses. His internationally recognized brand "Virgin" is splashed across everything from credit cards, to airlines and music "megastores". Branson is continuously seeking new business opportunities and loves a good challenge, especially when he enters a market that is dominated by a few major players.

Richard Branson was born on July 18, 1950. His entrepreneurial ways began early when he was publishing a student magazine at just 16 years. Branson did not go on to graduate school but in 1970 the now famous Virgin brand had its beginnings in the form of a discount records mail order venture that he and his friend Nik Powell worked on.

"The Butterfly Effect"

Now I’m staring at the screen and thinking about what happened with me in these 2 hours. In the beginning of all was me wondering what to do in that boring & hot Friday night. I decided that I’ll watch movie. As usual I researched arenabg.bg “Great advertisement don’t you think?” and I remembered that someone told me about “The butterfly effect” and that was my final choice. So I played the movie and this was the beginning of great adventure for my mind. In the beginning I thought, yes it’s good to the change the reality. And then I was obsessed with the idea of the movie I started to believe that it’s reality. I was just amazed that movie can make person like me thinking in that way. I couldn’t confirm that it’s not true. In fact the directors Eric Bress & J. Mackye Gruber are really great. They created something genius that can take our minds off from the reality and to turn the usual man into dreaming and silly boy. I’ve watched many movies in my life but that one is really special. The movie ended and I expected Ashton Kutcher jumping out from my wardrobe and saying - “You are totally busted, man!!!”. It’s over but the impression is strong. That movie goes directly to my own “Hall of Fame” for best movie I’ve ever watched! You must see it …..

My first Team Building.

On of 9/10 June in was my firs and unforgetable Team Building in AIESEC. It was prepared and executed by Dimtur Petkov & our lovely LTT member Maria Kiprova. They made us feel like one whole family and I'm so thankfull about that. Because of them our team is going to be balanced, cool, refreshed with new ideas and hardworking. Our TEAM /Tony, Me, Petya & Dancho/ is strong and I belive we are able to perform the needed change in our Local Commitee. I like to compete so i get the chance to work with that kind of people. Go AHEAD TEAM........

BaLDS'07

Balkan Leadership Development Seminar '07 is something i'll never forget. The Impresions from that event will stay long time in my memory. I found there great Leaders from the corporate world and talented young people. All of them have goals ambitions to become a real leaders. These 4 days i felt like 4 years of experience, it was like new beginig in my life. I learned a lot but i felt like i recieved may be not only one key i recieved whole keyholder and i'm the one who must unlock the dors. I felt that i have to push my onw limits. BaLDS left deep signs im my mind and i felt myself proud that i had the oportunity to be on that place with these nice people. We was 130 delegares from more than 7 countries and we got fun together. BaLDS was unique experience for me.

Krushuna '07

Krushuna is small village situated in „Devetaky plateau”. Near the village you can find amazing place called “Marata”, it’s named on the Marata river. This is an amazing place it’s like from the tales. I’m visiting it ever year. This spring I was there again with big company as usual and we had great time together on this magic recess. There are few waterfalls and caves there and as you can see they are really nice. Marata is where you can rest & to experience the spirit of the mother Nature.

Global Vilage in Beograd '06

Beograd is amazing city and it was great chance for me to be there.I visited great places like Kalemegdan fortress, the old city etc. I was part of delegation that represented Bulgaria. I met there people from Armenia, Croatia, Macedonia, Romania, Austria, Turkey and Serbia of course :). I met there great people from all these countries and it was cool inspirationt for me.The Bulgarian delegation was the biggest one 9 crazy people from all parts of BG. We were cool on the Global Village, we were cool in the discos too & we found out that the Serbian cuisine is great. I was impressed from these small shops called "Pekara". There you can eat really good snacks. Another thing that impressed me much was the architecture of Beograd. There you can see really cool buildings, old ones and new ones with fancy view.

This was an amazing summer 3000 km from Bulgaria. I had great experience with different cultures and people. UK is great country with rich culture and good people. I met nice people from different countries. After five months in this beautiful country, you are filling it like your own. I’ll never forget the amazing nature, their way of life, London – what a city?
